Elgå, pronounced as "Elgoh", is situated in the north-east of Hedmark province in Norway, close to the Swedish border. We advise you to buy the road map Cappelens kart 2 Sør-Norge nord. (~nok 150). Drive carefully on road 221 because of the reindeer.

From Oslo:
You take the E6 north. Then take road 3 to Elverum and road 25 to Trysil. Follow road 26 to Drevsjø. Pass Drevsjø and soon you will see road 221 towards Elgå. It takes about 4.5 hours.

From Trondheim:
You follow the E6 towards Oslo. Then you take road 30 (scenic road!) towards Røros. Road 26 brings you to Drevsjø. Just a few kilometers for Drevsjø road 221 take you to Elgå. It takes about 4.5 hours.

From Mora (Sweden):
You follow road 70 towards Särna and Idre. In Idre you follow the road to Grøvelsjøn and Elgå; It takes about 4 hours. The Femund Fjellstue is situated at the end of road 221.
